JIKOCHIYU OVERVIEW


In order to heal – whether our pain is physical, mental, emotional or spiritual – we first need to develop a greater awareness and understanding of ourselves, who we are and what we need in order to thrive.

Our Introduction to Jikochiyu - Self-Healing course encourages you to become really curious about yourself, what matters to you and what holds you back. You will be invited to keep a journal throughout the course and we will teach you different techniques to help you increase your self-awareness and intuition. Find out more information below.

  • Week-by-week you will build up a range of practical tools that support you to connect to your true purpose in life, overcome problems and find greater contentment, fulfilment and happiness. As part of a supportive community of fellow students, you will learn practices like meditation, self-reflection and connection to your own powerful healing energies.  

    The course consists of 4-hour online workshops over a four week period. At the end you will receive a certificate of completion. Please note you will need to be available the week before to login to the online platform as well as a week after to submit your assignment.

    If you are interested in studying for a Diploma in Self-Healing – Jikochiyu you will need to complete this foundation level course so you are familiar with the basic principles and practices.

    Journal: Annotate personal thoughts

    Online Discussion: Facilitated Forum

    Indicative Content:

    • Learn techniques and practises which help you to become aware of yourself and your issues.

    • Encourage a state of inquisitiveness which allows you to be more interested in yourself.

    • Learn how to express yourself, your needs and your issues.

    • Admit and acknowledge problems as the first step to healing.

    • Keeping a journal as a tool for continuous self healing.

  • Lecture: Healing Through Love

    Meditation: Connect to the potential of love

    Journal: Annotate personal thoughts

    Group Tutorial: with Healing Master Yumiko Asakura

    • Using guided imagery to connect with the potential of love.

    • Connecting to the consciousness of the healing powers within you.

    • The symbolic experience of being able to continuously self heal.

    • Reflection on the healing potential of love.

    • Becoming resilient through self love.

    • Becoming confident through feeling more relaxed.

    • Taking steps towards greater self realisation.

    • Becoming part of a community of self heal students, sharing this journey of self discovery.

  • Lecture: The Outside World and Stress

    Meditation: Gestalt Approach Meditation (Learn how to see things objectively)

    Journal: Reflect on how it feels to view the problem from a different perspective

    Group Tutorial: Preparation for the end of healing course with Leaves Institute Founder: Yumiko Asakura

    Indicative Content:

    • Starting to open up to the world.

    • Coping strategies for managing stress.

    • Examples of healing specific anxieties such as relationships, financial security, prosperity and societal issues.

    • ‘Holding’ the anxiety or problem in order to see it from a different perspective.

    • Learning to see things (problems and decisions) objectively.

    • Healing practice of placing the problem within the ‘healing light’.

    • Participation in guided meditation.

    • Preparation for the end of the healing journey and how to take it forward when the 4 week course ends.

  • Lecture: Energy Healing Techniques

    Meditation: Developing the Healing Mind

    Journal: Reflect on the healing

    Online Discussion: Facilitated Forum - Share learning experience

    Submit Assignment: Reflection of achievements and changes as well as how you want to proceed from here. Advice and comment from Yumiko

    Indicative Content:

    • Development of your own continuous self healing based on energy healing techniques.

    • Look at physical pain and discomfort as an indicator of something else.

    • Learning to develop a healing mind to calm and heal physical symptoms.

    • Learning to heal friends and family in person.

    • Synthesis of your learning from the previous weeks as part of your reflection.
