INTRODUCTION TO FUKU MEISO (MEDITATION)
FUKU MEISO OVERVIEW
Western scientific study is increasingly confirming what Eastern spiritual traditions have known for generations – that meditation has huge potential benefits for our physical, mental and emotional health, as well as overall happiness and wellbeing. These benefits range from reducing stress and lowering blood pressure through to improving emotional health and increasing attention span.
Our Introduction to Meditation course (Fuku Meiso – pronounced Fu-ku Mei-so) is the perfect place to start if you are new to meditation or simply want to develop your practice. Find out more about our approach below.
-
Over four sessions will take you through the basics of understanding what meditation is, stilling your mind and relaxing your body, letting go of overthinking, being present in the here and now, and more.
The course is taught by our founder, Yumiko, who has been meditating regularly since the age of four and is acknowledged in her native Japan as a master healer. Yumiko’s warm, friendly approach will put you at your ease and the programme is suitable even for novice meditators.
