Course Overview
The Universal Philosophy course will take you on a journey of self-discovery. You will gain a much deeper appreciation of who you really are as you address fundamental questions around love and your life’s true purpose on this earth. By studying the philosophies behind Reiwa Healing you will also learn to understand our innate connection with the natural and spiritual world and the impact these have on our daily lives.
You will critically examine how the concepts of freedom, responsibility and joy influence us and importantly how to reconnect with the intentions of your spiritual self to give your life deeper meaning. The knowledge you gain will help you establish your own truth and develop a philosophy for how you want to live your life, allowing you to explore your ability to positively impact your life and the world around you.

Induction
Shortly before you start your Diploma course, we will send you through access to the Leaves Institute online learning platform to get you ready for the start of your academic year. Right at the very beginning, we will take you through everything you need to know about your education with us within your induction. You induction has been curated so that you are fully prepared, all set up and are clear on how you will be taught and supported across the year.
Jikochiyu Course
During your time at Leaves Institute you will go on a healing journey, you will encounter experiences and feelings that you may never have had before and you will learn the profound and life changing practices and methods curated by Yumiko Asakura. Prior to beginning your Diploma we teach our students the essential tools taught on the Jikochiyu Course, these skills enable our students to relax and focus on themselves. The Jikochiyu Course helps people find answers and enables them to begin to gain a deeper personal appreciation for themselves and the life they are living. It’s essential that all our students are equipped with the Healing Practices taught on the Jikochiyu Course prior to starting their Diploma. The skills that you will learn, will teach you how to look after yourself and heal yourself, during this course you will have the opportunity to take the time to entirely focus on yourself. After your induction, you will complete the Jikochiyu Course to ensure that you are fully prepared to start your Diploma.

Academic Year
Our next Universal Philosophy Diploma course starts in September 2020 and finishes in June 2021. The Academic year is made up of three terms which span across the year.
Termly Overview Term 1
The course starts by exploring fundamental questions around Love - what it is and what its component parts are, giving you the knowledge you need to help deepen your understanding of love. You will learn about the Zenai Practices where you see love in everything and explore the idea that our experiences in this life are because of love - it may be distorted or expressed in an uncomfortable way but it is all an expression of love, allowing you to be more compassionate with yourself and others. You will then focus on the theories of life itself to uncover your true life’s purpose, empowering you to appreciate the choices you make on a much more profound level.
Term 2
During the second term you will reflect on the idea of Joy being our only true driving force in life and consider the scientific effects joy can have on us as individuals and on the world around us. You will learn techniques and practices to help you understand yourself, working towards experiencing pure consciousness of your true self. You will study the philosophies behind Reiwa Healing which will introduce you to your innate connection with nature, giving you a deeper appreciation for life so that you can profoundly enjoy being who you really are.
Term 3
The final term focuses on spirituality. While we are sometimes not aware of the spiritual side to our life, our spirituality is a really natural part of us all. You will learn to reconnect with your spiritual self and appreciate how, when your body and mind awaken to your spiritual intentions, your life becomes more meaningful. You will complete the course by exploring the concepts of freedom and responsibility and how they are created in our relationships and in our society as a whole. You will learn to be self aware, to take responsibility for being truly original and to contribute to society in an uniquely positive way.
Academic Support
When you first start at Leaves Institute, we will introduce you to your Course Leader and your personal Tutor, who are there to provide academic guidance and support throughout your time with us. Each term, you will receive a one-to-one tutorial with your personal Tutor and, as a Universal Philosophy student, you will also receive a supervision session which will help you develop in this field. This is time devoted to you and your studies here at Leaves Institute.
Assessment Guidelines
We conduct all our teaching, learning, assessment and grading to a Higher Education Level. This means our assessment guidelines and criteria maintain the highest standard of education and all courses have been accredited to ensure that you and all Leaves Institute students are taught to a professional level. You’ll be assessed on your learning and practice and awarded your Diploma once you have completed and passed all the course units.
Online Educational Platform
As a Leaves Institute student, you can access your course on your phone, tablet or desktop via our app.You can take part in conferences and watch our lectures broadcast live. You’ll be able to connect with fellow students through our weekly discussions and record your learning via your ePortfolio. You will also receive video feedback from your Tutor on all your assignments. Leaves Institute teaches through an online educational platform, using the most advanced digital communication technology to live stream our lectures, seminars and tutorials across continents in real time through our virtual learning environment. The technology we use allows you to connect with our network of industry specialists, Course Leaders, Lecturers and Tutors wherever you are in the world and gives you the flexibility to fit your learning in around your life.
Independent Self-Study & Practice
Students have timetabled lectures and sessions throughout the term. In addition to your timetabled sessions, the course also requires additional independent learning and self development through study and practice. This will typically involve working on individual and group projects, practice weeks, preparing coursework assignments and presentations. Your independent learning will be supported by a range of excellent facilities including online resources on the online virtual learning platform.
Certification
On successful completion of the Universal Philosophy Diploma, you will be awarded certification from Leaves Institute. When you successfully complete the course, you will be awarded the Universal Philosophy Diploma from the School of Universal Philosophy at Leaves Institute. This is an admissions requirement if you would like to apply for a place on the Leaves Institute Master of Universal Philosophy Course.

As well as aligning to the core curriculum approved by UK Healers and the Confederation of Healing Organisations, we also align our courses and programme structure to esteemed UK Awarding Body ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality License Scheme.

Here at Leaves Institute we deliver our learning to a Higher Education Level to make sure that we offer the highest standard of professional healing education. Leaves Institute’s educational conduct, academic delivery and quality of course content are governed by the Leaves Institute Board of Directors and meet H.E.A.L.S. (Healing Education Leaves Alliance Standards).

If you are considering applying to study two Diplomas at once, this is called a Dual Diploma.
You will receive Application Form and information about the fees for your course.
Simply complete and submit your Application Form as per the instructions.
We will confirm a date for your interview shortly afterwards via email.
After the interview, there will be a short questionnaire for you to complete.
Successful applicants will receive details of their place within 5 working days of their interview.
To secure your place on the course, we will need payment for the first semester.
One week before the start of your course, you will receive your Log-in instructions.
You will also be given guidance on how to prepare for the start of your course at Leaves Institute.
