Course Overview
The Alchemy Diploma has been created for those who want to become an Alchemist. Beginning with an examination of the origins of Alchemy in Egypt, the course goes on to look at our wider understanding of Alchemy and its uses in the modern world. You will study the Alchemical Elements as well as discover the unique characteristics of The Sun and Fire, The Moon and Water, The Earth and Wind and the powerful union between them.
You will explore the importance of recognising and following your universal truth in order to implement fundamental changes and discover how to connect Alchemy and its practices to your own life experiences, enabling you to influence the world around you in a truly positive way.

Induction
Shortly before you start your Diploma course, we will send you through access to the Leaves Institute online learning platform to get you ready for the start of your academic year. Right at the very beginning, we will take you through everything you need to know about your education with us within your induction. You induction has been curated so that you are fully prepared, all set up and are clear on how you will be taught and supported across the year.
Jikochiyu Course
During your time at Leaves Institute you will go on a healing journey, you will encounter experiences and feelings that you may never have had before and you will learn the profound and life changing practices and methods curated by Yumiko Asakura. Prior to beginning your Diploma we teach our students the essential tools taught on the Jikochiyu Course, these skills enable our students to relax and focus on themselves. The Jikochiyu Course helps people find answers and enables them to begin to gain a deeper personal appreciation for themselves and the life they are living. It’s essential that all our students are equipped with the Healing Practices taught on the Jikochiyu Course prior to starting their Diploma. The skills that you will learn, will teach you how to look after yourself and heal yourself, during this course you will have the opportunity to take the time to entirely focus on yourself. After your induction, you will complete the Jikochiyu Course to ensure that you are fully prepared to start your Diploma.

Our next Alchemy Diploma course starts in September 2020 and finishes in June 2021. The Academic year is made up of three terms which span across the year.
Termly Overview
Term 1
The first term starts with a history of Alchemy as we delve into its origins in Egypt and its association with creating gold, before we look at the role Alchemy now plays in our modern world. You will then explore the relationship between different substances and their spirituality and learn to recognise the unique powers of the various Alchemical elements: Physical Elements, Vibrational Elements and The Truth. You will also discover how your life experiences inform your own universal truth and how a profound connection with this is essential in your practice as an Alchemist.
Term 2
During Term two you will explore the concepts of The Sun and fire, looking at the life-giving properties of the sun and its spiritual powers, uncovering how these impact our day-to-day lives. You will study The Moon and its close association with water to discover what the moon represents in Alchemical terms. By learning to understand the moon’s transformational nature, you will study how, when the moon wanes each month, ideas, emotions, thoughts and attachments dissolve with it, creating essential empty space for new things to come into being.
Term 3
In your final term, you will consider The Earth and its relationship with the wind, which sustains it. The wind is also our life force that we draw our own existence from in the form of breath and you will be invited to think about the nature of our breath and your own connection to it.
Once you have studied all the Alchemical Elements, you will be introduced to the Emerald Tablet and the Philosopher’s Stone and your tutor will guide you through the process of awakening as an Alchemist. To finish the course, you will transform your learnings into ideas of how you plan to use Alchemical wisdom in your daily life going forward.
Academic Support
When you first start at Leaves Institute, we will introduce you to your Course Leader and your personal Tutor, who are there to provide academic guidance and support throughout your time with us. Each term, you will receive a one-to-one tutorial with your personal Tutor and, as an Alchemy student, you will also receive a supervision session which will help you develop in this field. This is time devoted to you and your studies here at Leaves Institute.
Assessment Guidelines
We conduct all our teaching, learning, assessment and grading to a Higher Education Level. This means our assessment guidelines and criteria maintain the highest standard of education and all courses have been accredited to ensure that you and all Leaves Institute students are taught to a professional level. You’ll be assessed on your learning and practice and awarded your Diploma once you have completed and passed all the course units.
Online Educational Platform
As a Leaves Institute student, you can access your course on your phone, tablet or desktop via our app. You can take part in conferences and watch our lectures broadcast live. You’ll be able to connect with fellow students through our weekly discussions and record your learning via your ePortfolio. You will also receive video feedback from your Tutor on all your assignments. Leaves Institute teaches through an online educational platform, using the most advanced digital communication technology to live stream our lectures, seminars and tutorials across continents in real time through our virtual learning environment. The technology we use allows you to connect with our network of industry specialists, Course Leaders, Lecturers and Tutors wherever you are in the world and gives you the flexibility to fit your learning in around your life.
Independent Self-Study & Practice
Students have timetabled lectures and sessions throughout the term. In addition to your timetabled sessions, the course also requires additional independent learning and self development through study and practice. This will typically involve working on individual and group projects, practice weeks, preparing coursework assignments and presentations. Your independent learning will be supported by a range of excellent facilities including online resources on the online virtual learning platform.

Certification
On successful completion of the Alchemy Diploma, you will be awarded certification from Leaves Institute, When you successfully complete the course, you will be awarded the Alchemy Diploma from the School of Alchemy at Leaves Institute. This is an admissions requirement if you would like to apply for a place on the Leaves Institute Master of Alchemy Course.

As well as aligning to the core curriculum approved by UK Healers and the Confederation of Healing Organisations, we also align our courses and programme structure to esteemed UK Awarding Body ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality License Scheme.

If you are considering applying to study two Diplomas at once, this is called a Dual Diploma.
You will receive Application Form and information about the fees for your course.
Simply complete and submit your Application Form as per the instructions.
We will confirm a date for your interview shortly afterwards via email.
After the interview, there will be a short questionnaire for you to complete.
Successful applicants will receive details of their place within 5 working days of their interview.
To secure your place on the course, we will need payment for the first semester.
One week before the start of your course, you will receive your Log-in instructions.
You will also be given guidance on how to prepare for the start of your course at Leaves Institute.
